Now is your chance to go inside the ropes and caddy for the 2010 FBR champion! Californian born Hunter Mahan has proven he can play in warm climates like Phoenix, now come spend a day with sunny Miami at the WGC-CA Championship.  Mahan has gained quite a bit of attention on the PGA TOUR in the past couple of years due to his impressive game, ability to hit greens in regulation and to keep a scoring average below the PGA TOUR average. After playing as an amateur in the 2003 Masters and finishing in an impressive T28 position, Mahan decided to forgo his last season of collegiate play eligibility and turn professional.  Lo and behold, in his first attempt at qualifying school, Mahan finished in T16 position, earning his playing privileges on the PGA TOUR for the 2004 season.

Mahan’s 2004 season on the PGA TOUR was impressive with three top-10 finishes and a T 36 at the British Open. He again had a successful outcome at Qualifying School the end of 2004 with a 9th place finish, earning playing privileges on the PGA TOUR for the 2005 season where he had a T9 finish at the FBR Open. Mahan’s abilities continued to shine in 2006 where he had two top-10 finishes and a T26 finish at The British Open, ending the year on the PGA TOUR Money List for the first time in 83rd position.


2007 was a strong season for Hunter as he moved up to 32nd on the PGA TOUR Money List and was ranked as high as 41st on the Official World Golf Rankings following his first PGA TOUR win at The Travelers Championship. During the year, Mahan also had six top-10 finishes and participated in four prominent events: The U.S. Open (T13); the British Open (T6); The PGA Championship (T18); and The TOUR Championship (T5). After this spectacular performance in the 2007 season, Hunter was selected by President’s Cup team captain Jack Nicklaus to participate on the U.S. team where as the captain's pick he finished with an impressive 2-3-0 record.


In 2008, Hunter continued his streak of outstanding performances with six top-10 finishes, including a 2nd place finish at the Travelers Championship. He finished tied for 18th at the U.S. Open en route to an 18th place finish in the final FedExCup Standings. Hunter’s 2008 season came to an end as a major contributor to the U.S. Ryder Cup team victory, leading the team in scoring by tallying 3.5 points and playing in all five possible matches.

2009 was yet another impressive year for Mahan as he recorded six top-10 finishes, including a runner-up finish at the AT&T National. This great performance helped him play his way into all four PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup events before finishing 27th in the FedExCup standings. Mahan also earned the Captain's Pick spot for The President's Cup and recorded a career high in earnings for the year.
